Ayurveda is a type of medicine practiced around the world, and is the most holistic and comprehensive medical system available. This approach to health is focused on healing, prevention, longevity, and the reversal of aging. Herbs, food, aromas, gems, colors, yoga, mantras, meditation, lifestyle, and surgery have been used in this style of medicine.
As medicine advances, the desire to return to a more holistic approach to health increases in society.
However, modern medicine should not be discredited by any means. Ayurvedic Medicine accepts all forms of healing and health services because the ultimate goal is optimum health.

Ayurveda suggests that true health is based on the functioning status of the four areas in life: physical/mental health, career or life purpose, spiritual relationships, and self-healing and self-realization.
The main priority for this style of medicine is understanding the root cause to an illness and not just treating a symptom.
It is not just a short-term solution to health issues.
Ayurveda is a long-term and preventative approach to illnesses, and health issues. It can be complex sometimes to analyze and treat a patient if we are only given details on the symptoms themselves. Although symptoms can be directly linked to a specific root cause, there are many internal and external factors that need to be considered to give accurate and complete treatment.


Using Ayurvedic Medicine requires the patient to want to be healed and to also be willing to put in the effort it takes to be healed and maintain good health. It is important as human beings to listen to our body and not suppress natural urges and instead, really listen to what our body needs.
We can develop unwanted symptoms just by suppressing our body’s natural urge to sleep, cry, sneeze, burp, yawn, eat , drink, etc.
Not sleeping can cause fatigue, insomnia, and headaches, and suppressing yawns or sneezes can cause numbness, and harm our nervous systems or even respiratory systems. This is just one example of an Ayurvedic take on the health of the human body.

Listening to your body and acting/putting in effort when there is a unwanted sign/symptom can significantly improve your everyday health, promote longevity, and prevent further disease.
