How To Get Rid Of That Tired Feeling
Whether you have spent hours at work, or have woken up feeling even more tired than when you fell asleep, you can actually take control of this fatigue you are feeling and give yourself a boost of energy. Fatigue is usually a state of mind rather than a symptom of the body. Your energy channels may be stagnant and you might need to boost your chi to get the energy flowing through your body.
Self-Booster One-Minute Workout:
STEP 1: Rub your hands briskly (palms and fingers) together for about 5 seconds
STEP 2: Rub your warmed palms up and down your cheeks briskly for about 5 seconds
STEP 3: Tap (pitter-patter) the top of your head with your hands flat for 5 seconds
STEP 4: Cup your hand in a loosely bound fist and tap vigorously up and down the inside and outside of each arm (about 3 times inside and out each arm)
STEP 5: Gently apply pressure on your thyroid gland between your thumb and index finger, 3 times
STEP 6: Press on one carotid artery for 5 seconds. Release, and breathe deeply. Re-apply, and then go to the other side of your neck and repeat
STEP 7: Place your thumb in the hollow part at the base of your skull (at midline) and press and hold for 3 seconds. Release. Repeat 3 times and then go to your feet
STEP 8:
-Pinch the tip of your big toe, then compress the ball of your big toe. You should notice a sharp, painful spot…rub it away
-Place your thumb in the kidney zone (smack dab in the middle of the foot, you can trace down your middle toe to find the spot that is shaped like a kidney bean). Hold. Release. Then re-apply
-Grasp the Achilles Tendon tightly. Hold and Release. Repeat 3 times
-Briskly rub the top of the foot with your hand: Or with the heel of the other foot
STEP 9: With your palms open, slap everything between you hip to your toes—front, side, and back (DO NOT perform this step if you have Varicose Veins)
After these steps, you should feel a sense of well-being and warmth. You have successfully stimulated your power stations. Although there are other techniques to boosting your chi, this one-minute exercise should help you if you are struggling throughout the day to fight fatigue.
