Anti-Aging To-Do List

Our bodies are designed to take care of diseases and things that don’t belong in our bodies. However, our bodies are constantly fighting aging, that seems inevitable, but we might actually have more control over it than we think.

Free Radicals are oxygen containing molecules with an uneven number of electrons dispersed throughout our bodies that can cause reactions with other existing molecules within our bodies. Oxidation is when these free radicals steal electrons from stable cells, causing a reaction, to help make themselves more stable. Antioxidants help fight these free radicals by donating electrons to help satisfy them and prevent them from making other cells in our bodies unstable. Over time, constant damage from free radicals can cause diabetes, inflammatory conditions, heart diseases, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and cancer. Although it is impossible to completely avoid free radical exposure and oxidation, studies show that increasing the amount of antioxidants in our bodies can directly prevent these cells from further breaking down our bodies and premature aging!
